Research Focus
My research at Virginia Tech will focus on post-quantum cryptography. This series of research is mainly motivated by the growing threat of quantum computers. If large-scale quantum computers are ever built, they will be able to break many of the public-key cryptosystems currently in use. Therefore, I will work on provable security of cryptosystems in the presence of quantum attacks.
Why did you choose to pursue postdoctoral training at Virginia Tech?
I chose to pursue postdoctoral training at Virginia Tech because of the opportunity to work with Dr. Mantri and Dr. Sikora, who are both ingenious experts in our field and highly supportive of my research. The university's strong emphasis on interdisciplinary research, combined with its advanced facilities, makes it the ideal place to advance my research and achieve my long-term career objectives.
What are you most looking forward to as you begin in this fellowship at Virginia Tech?
I am most looking forward to engaging in innovative research and collaborating with diverse, talented colleagues. Quantum cryptography is a young and challenging field, and the chance to explore new ideas, tackle challenging projects, and contribute to impactful work is something I’m truly excited about.
