Special Initiative Pages

This type of microsite or page is used to differentiate content layout from the normal Research and Innovation webpages.  An example of this in use is the Research Frontiers microsite:

https://www.research.vt.edu/initiatives/research-frontiers.html .

Structure

The pages will feature:

• a playing video embed at the top of the page
• a variety of call-to-actions to link to news stories
• multi-column / white card highlighted content
• news or video feeds
• links to various pages related to the subject (experts, centers, etc.)

The layout structure will break common Research and Innovation style such as child links are not shown in a right column menu.  

Please note: these pages/microsites are created on an approval basis by the communications team.
