Samantha Bowling is assistant director of the Human Research Protection Program at Virginia Tech, supporting the review and oversight of human subjects research.
Background
Bowling joined Virginia Tech’s Human Research Protection Program in 2019 as a protocol coordinator. Prior to joining Virginia Tech, she worked in institutional review board and human research protection program roles at AdventHealth. Bowling also held research positions as laboratory manager and research data management specialist. She has more than 15 years of experience in research and human research protections.
Education
Bowling is a certified IRB Professional, and holds a master’s degree in psychology with a specialty in neuroscience from Northern Illinois University.
