Emerging Cyberthreats and their Counterintelligence Implications

Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency’s Cyber Counterintelligence Special Agent for the Mid-Atlantic region, Luke Baxter, will present a 60-minute briefing on emerging cyber threats and their counterintelligence implications. The briefing will cover multiple developments in technology which challenge the National Industrial Security program and its trusted workforce, to include artificial intelligence, big data surveillance, post-quantum cryptography, and the increasing vulnerability of personal electronic devices.

Hosted by the Office of Export and Secure Research Compliance, this briefing is intended for a general audience and will emphasize the importance of cybersecurity awareness for all users. Attendance may be either in-person or virtual via Microsoft TEAMS.
