In this Research Development Series event, guest speaker Kirsten Nielsen, Professor of Microbiology and Immunology, will discuss the National Institutes of Health (NIH) R-series grant from submission to funding, the mechanics of the NIH grant panel review process, and common mistakes that grant writers make that impact success during panel review.
A member of the Office of Research and Innovation's Research and Development team, Nielsen has consistently served on National Institutes of Health Center for Scientific Review study sections for the past 13 years.
This will be an interactive session with time for attendee questions.
