Protecting Innovation - A Research Security Forum: Research Security: Counterintelligence Awareness

Virginia Tech's Office of Export and Secure Research Compliance will host members of the Naval Criminal Investigative Services for a discussion of recent case studies and counterintelligence awareness.

Virginia Tech faculty, staff, or students receiving United States federal research funding would benefit from this discussion as it highlights the need for strong research security practices to protect our research and development infrastructure, including our personnel.

John Talerico serves as the director of the Office of Export and Secure Research Compliance for university-wide compliance with export controls, sanctions, and research security laws and regulations. He also serves as the university’s facility security officer and Insider Threat Program senior official as required by the National Industrial Security Program.
