About Office of Research and Innovation Human Resources

The Human Resources department of the Office of Research and Innovation acts as a partner to Virginia Tech’s central Human Resources department and provides human resources support to the employees and departments that report to Research and Innovation at the senior management level.

Additionally, the office provides specialized and direct human resources support to the research faculty and departments employing research faculty university-wide. We liaise with university administrative offices including deans and vice presidents, academic departments, the university’s Human Resources office, the Office of Equity and Access, the provost's office, and the Office of International Affairs, among others, on recruitment, retention, compensation and employment activities.

We are also provide services in areas of:
