Research Security
The Office of Export and Secure Research Compliance assists faculty, staff, students, and departments in complying with numerous US government regulations governing dissemination and safeguarding of classified and controlled unclassified information that may be restricted for reasons of national security or foreign policy. These programs are collectively called “restricted research” and will have a research security component.
The office will assist the affected parties in setting up security measures and protocols needed to ensure compliance with export control, sanctions, and research security regulations through the establishment of a technology control plan or other compliance plan. The office conducts numerous training sessions to educate faculty, staff, students, and department personnel on any research security requirements.
