Once a specific opportunity has been identified, it is all hands on deck to understand sponsor requirements, gather resources, and analyze the competition. The Office of Research and Innovation can help navigate the path to building a successful proposal.
After the researcher’s team has been formed and selected resources have been identified, then it is time to build the proposal with focus on the technical and creative aspects. The Office of Research and Innovation has services to help compile the components of the proposal.
When the proposal is ready to be submitted, use Virginia Tech’s custom SUMMIT tool to submit and approve your proposal.
Once the project is funded, then the hard work begins. The Office of Research and Innovation will continue to support and provide services through the Office of Sponsored Programs Post-Award, the Division of Scholarly Integrity and Research Compliance, Animal Care and Use, and the Office of Export and Secure Research Compliance teams.
