Message from the Senior Vice President of Research and Innovation
Jan. 27, 2025
Dear colleagues,
With the directives of the new administration, federal agencies are implementing reviews and policies that may affect awarded projects and impending funding. University leadership is carefully monitoring these changes and will keep the university community apprised of their impacts as they develop.
These actions may cause delays in new awards, modification of requirements, or scope of existing awards. Principal investigators are encouraged to reach out to their federal grant or contracting officer to understand potential changes to their awards and encouraged to monitor federal websites for updates on proposal deadlines, requirements, or scope.
Principal investigators should reach out to their Post-Award Grants Manager if they receive any communication specific to their currently funded or pending research award.
Virginia Tech’s research and scholarly work is important and impactful, and I appreciate everything that you do. I am confident that together, we will have continued success.
Please take a moment to review the Federal Agency Updates webpage for information on awards, proposals, and FAQs. We will continue to add content to this page as we receive it.
Regards,
Dan
